Codan Communications and Zetron Successfully Test Their P25 CSSI Interface
Codan Communications and Zetron together have successfully tested Zetron’s P25 Console Subsystem Interface with the Codan Trunked P25 System. This test further demonstrates how Zetron’s Advanced Communications system, combined with the CSSI, is able to interoperate successfully with Codan’s P25 Trunked Radio System. It also confirms what benefits can be achieved when manufacturers observe open standards.
“Codan and Zetron have enjoyed a long, successful collaborative relationship,” said Robert Small, VP/GM Codan Communications Operations.
“In 2009 we first jointly announced our P25 Fixed Station Interface for conventional applications. This latest announcement concerning our trunked product offering further demonstrates the success of that collaboration as well as the success of open standards to provide the public-safety community with best-in-class products.”
“Zetron is pleased to have collaborated with Codan on yet another successful project,” said Ellen O’Hara, President and Chief Executive Officer of Zetron.
“Our testing verified that this joint solution seamlessly integrates both of our open-standards-based products. Customers benefit greatly when vendors employ open standards. Doing so not only fosters the development of highly interoperable solutions that meet customers’ needs, but also promotes healthy competition and expanded customer choice.”
