Developments to the Codan Envoy are finally here
Codan Communications has launched their second features upgrade to the Envoy High Frequency Software Defined Radio.
As the leading commercial High Frequency radio, the Envoy features the best quality RF performance, digital voice to boost clarity, USB and Ethernet connection capabilities, and a large screen that resembles a high resolution smart phone interface. Its wide-ranging features and ability to be upgraded in the future protects the value of investment that customers make in the Envoy HF SDR.
This new upgrade has added features such as enhanced USB capabilities, where it is now easy and quick to fill up to 256 encryption keys directly from USBs. Additionally, the Envoy has upgraded IP connectivity, allowing remote control over even the minimal bandwidth links, and secure communication of up to 9600bit/s due to the addition of a full MIL-STD-188-110A/B high speed modem.
“With unique features and software upgradeability, Envoy provides today’s features and tomorrow’s capabilities in the one radio. We have designed the Envoy so it can always evolve with new innovations and our customers’ needs without increasing their costs,” said Paul McCarter, Codan’s Executive General Manager of the Radio Communications Division.
The development of Envoy is central to what Codan hopes to achieve. Codan is committed to investing in R&D to ensure the Envoy is constantly evolving and remains at the forefront of HF communication advancement.
