Codan and By Light Awarded Share in $10.4M USD Government HF Radio Contract
Codan Communications has been awarded a USD $10.4 million government contract, in partnership with By Light Professional Services.
The contract is to provide government employees globally with High Frequency (HF) radios to ensure operational support and security. Under the contract, the partnership between Codan and By Light will share in the contract’s $10.4M ceiling over a five year term.
Government personnel serving throughout the United States as well as in US Embassies abroad will be given HF radio systems to facilitate communications for the purpose of improving emergency response efforts. The five year contract is a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) IDIQ Contract issued under the existing By Light GSA Schedule 70 Contract to purchase Codan Envoy and 2110 Manpack HF radio systems. Training services and support has been agreed to be provided by By Light organisation. The BPA contract is designed to assist ordering, provide timely delivery and ensure standardization The BPA Contract is designed to facilitate ordering, provide timely delivery, and facilitate standardization. Codan has been estimated to have been allocated $6 million of the total $10.4 million USD contract.

Codan and By Light partnered in 2015 to obtain the US Department of Veterans Affairs HF Radio Network IDIQ Contract, implementing a nationwide emergency HF radio network which utilised Codan’s Envoy radios.
