Codan’s Sentry-H 6110-MP delivers a powerful 30W RF power output and up to 79 hours of battery life in less than 4 kg of weight.
The 6110-MP forms an integral part of the Sentry-H product family that meets the demands of the modern battlefield whilst offering full backwards compatibility with legacy products. The 6110-MP is one of the smallest, lightest form factor manpack HF radios available, without compromise on capabilities. It delivers a rugged Software Defined Radio (SDR) solution for military organisations that demand uncompromised, secure voice and data communications, while on the move.
The 6110-MP can be configured with a standard size, high capacity BB-2590 style rechargeable battery, resulting in an overall unit weight of less than 4.7kg and providing an industry leading battery life of up to 79 hours.
The 6110-MP is now offered with a shorter battery compartment and compatible rechargeable battery that effectively makes it the smallest and lightest HF manpack radio available today with a weight of less than 4kg. Even with the lower capacity battery the radio will still provide an impressive battery life of up to 23 hours.
Lower overall investment
The 6110-MP Software Defined Radio platform is built the on latest-generation high-performance Digital Signal Processor (DSP), Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and system on chip (SoC) technology, ensures that you can get tomorrows capabilities today. The platform is fully software upgradable and is continuously supported by Codan via regular software releases. The releases add new features and system capabilities meaning that the radio product will be able to adapt to evolving user needs at minimum cost.
Security of operations
With a range of voice and data encryption options, the security of your information on air can be guaranteed. The 6110-MP's second generation Digital Voice, including latest addition of 300 bit/s and 480 bit/s vocoder rates, coupled with AES-256 encryption provide superior and secure voice quality and data, even in the most challenging channel conditions. Codan new digital voice message capability allows you to send high quality recordings of your voice over a channel, when no other voice communication is available. The voice message is sent using 3G ALE robust data waveform and can be encrypted with AES-256.
The innovative secure interoperability capability ensures that 6110-MP systems can be configured to operate seamlessly across HF networks using disparate encryption methods, a crucial capability in complex missions. Data application suites such as Codan SprintChat and SprintNet provide peer to peer text chat, email, and file transfer as well as email and phone SMS gateways, ensuring your mission data requirements can be fully met.
Reduced operator training
The 6110-MP front panel and optional 2320 Handset user interfaces have been designed with ruggedness, and ease of configuration and operation as primary objectives. The intuitive icon-based menu system and easy to read colour screen layout, coupled with an ability to switch between multiple native languages (including data entry modes) ensures that you can focus more on your mission and less on complex radio operations and training.
Customisable to your mission
The 6110-MP Software Defined Architecture provides a highly flexible and configurable platform enabling system administrators to tailor radio profiles to specific mission requirements. Operator access to radio configuration parameters can be easily locked down or made available, depending on your unique circumstances.
It is designed for tactical operations, providing the operator with dedicated control of radio sound and light emission via the discreet mode switch. It also provides dual handset control through the full support for H-250 audio accessories along with being fully compatible with the 2320 Smart Handset. With a built in speaker and GPS, the 2320 handset provides direct access to core operations remote from the radio, highly suited to on the move communications.

Codan products have some of the best MTBF metrics in the industry, resulting from over 60 years of HF design experience with the Codan 6110-MP Manpack built for maximum reliability in all conditions.
THE 6110-MP HAS A RANGE OF ADVANCED CAPABILITIES FOR CUSTOMISED SOLUTIONS.
Compact and lightweight
The 6110-MP sets a new standard for size and weight for HF manpack radios with ruggedness and reliability as a focus. It weighs less than 4 kg including battery, with one of the smallest form factors available.
30W high power
The 6110-MP packs a full 30W RF power output in a high efficiency SDR platform that can deliver up to 79 hours of battery run time. With extremely clean transmit signal and industry leading receiver performance, the 6110-MP provides exceptional HF communications clarity.
Long battery life
The 6110-MP's highly efficient design allows for 79 hours of operation from a single battery charge. It uses standard military off-the-shelf BB-2590 style batteries, capitalising on latest technology advances and supply flexibility.
Designed and tested to the toughest Military standards and inherits the time proven reliability of Codan.
Codan knows that when lives are on the line, operation of the radio must be second nature. The 6110-MP provides an intuitive user interface that can be switched into various languages for fast and instinctive control.
Designed for tactical operations, providing the operator with dedicated control of radio sound and light emission via the discreet mode switch.
The software-defined architecture enables you to download and upgrade new capabilities through software to ensure your investment is future-proof.
SECURE VOICE AND DATA
When coupled with AES-256 encryption, second generation Digital Voice technology and high speed MIL/STANAG data waveforms it provides superior and secure voice quality and data throughout the most challenging channel conditions.
Frequency Hopping capability helps prevent third party monitoring of communications. Supports up to 31 user programmable hop plans and can be combined with voice encryption to provide a high level of ECCM and communications security. Frequency hopping is now compatible with Digital Voice and 2G MIL/STANAG data waveforms to further extend ECCM capabilities.
3G ALE provides quick linking and secure data exchange. A fully encrypted long-range solution for tactical data communications, optimised to perform in low signal to noise environments when 2G ALE fails.
Both the 6110-MP and 2320 Handset have built in GPS receivers, ensuring that waveform synchronisation and position reporting is available with the added complexity and potential failure of externally connected GPS devices.
