Man-Portable Mast, 6m • Codan Communications

Codan’s 6M Man-Portable Mast is designed for tactical use where rapid deployment and ease of transportation is important.

The mast is fully compatible with the Codan's Patrol Manpack (25 W) antennas, and can also be used with the Codan 125 W Tactical 411 Broadband antenna. Constructed of blackened high tensile aluminium tubing, the man-portable mast comprises ten sections that slide together to form the mast. All metal parts, including the mast tube sections, are blackened to reduce visual detection.

Deployment of the 6 m mast is a simple task of securing the guy anchor stakes and the mast base and then fitting the guys sets at the mid and upper level mast sections. The mast can then be erected and the guy ropes secured using the quick release tensioning shuttles. A rope halyard and pulley is provided for raising and lowering antennas.

    Note: When used with the 6 m man-portable mast the 78-01259 TAC 411 antenna is optimized for NVIS operation (short distance). For medium to long distance operation the TAC 411 is recommended to be used with a 10 m mast, e.g. the Codan 78-13036 Transportable Mast.
